NAME

The name "STIISK" is inspired by a unique suffix in the Cherokee language, "-stiisk-," which means "initiating something that continues to unfold." This concept aligns perfectly with our goal of encouraging ongoing creativity and development, making it especially appealing to educators and parents who seek to inspire continuous learning and innovation in children. By starting with something simple, like popsicle sticks, we believe that we can awaken great potential in people, sparking talents that can grow and evolve over time.

We chose this name because it encapsulates two key concepts central to our mission:

• The idea of causation - making things happen, which aligns with our goal of awakening talents and inspiring creation.
• The concept of incompleteness or ongoing progress, reflecting our belief that every project is a continual work in progress with the potential to evolve and inspire further innovations.

STICK

Interestingly, STIISK is a variation of the word "STICK." This choice is not coincidental, as sticks, especially popsicle sticks, are the primary material we have chosen due to their global accessibility. With these sticks, it is possible to construct any creation, serving as an introduction to engineering and stimulating the inventive thinking of future engineers in a simple and accessible way for everyone.

Our logo features the two 'i's in STIISK designed to resemble '//', which is commonly used for comments in many programming languages. This design choice reflects our aim to introduce technology in a simple, accessible way, starting with an activity that is common worldwide: creating projects with popsicle sticks.

This concept of "incomplete" or "in progress" reflects our belief that every project has the potential to spark new ideas and awaken talents globally. It's a continuous cycle of creation and inspiration that lies at the heart of what we do at Stiisk.

This could be a gateway to technology, a simple start that people can continue, introducing anyone around the world to their awakening in technology. Stiisk is based in the United States, created to impact the world, because talents are everywhere, regardless of their origin, culture, or economic status.
